NERHT is working with the Mihaau Eminescu Trust, a British charity, to preserve the Sibiu–Agnita Railway, a historic 76 cm gauge line in Transylvania.

The Sibua-Agnita Railway celebrated its centenary in Sptember 2010. Following the celebrations a British supporters club was inaugarated in March 2011.

Sadly in April 2011 the entire locomotive and rolling stock fleet was removed for use on a railway in Targu Mures. The legality of the removal is being challenged. A Romanian L4SH diesel locomotive, and a static Polish steam locomotive are expected to arrive on the line in early 2012.
